"Kawayan" or Bamboo.Scientific Name: Bambasa Sp. A member of the grass family found in most tropical climates, this tall grass displays its versatility as it is used as building material for houses, utility baskets, with its bamboo shoots also used as viand for most Asian countries as a good source of fiber. Today many more uses have been found for this grass including its twigs for inlay material.

Nito Vine. Nito is a forest vine growing as a secondary forest cover clinging to trees and rocks. The aborigines of the island uses this as some kind of a rope or woven into utility containers.To help the aborigines increase there income and for us to have a renewable source of material . Our company studied the characteristics of the nito vine and come up with some material and process manipulation. Today nito is use as a inlay material for table tops and furniture accessories.


"Butong" or young coconut. Scientific Name: Cocus Nocefera. Coconut palm they say is a tree of life. Most of its parts had been used in every aspect of life specially in the southeast Asian region. From housing building to food, the coconut palm is ever present. Young coconut is the immature fruit of the coconut. It contains a very delicate white meat used for salads, desserts and other concoctions. Our company found use for the shells by cleaning, drying and sizing them before using as inlay material.

"Saging" or banana bark.Scientific Name: Musa paradisiacal L. A member of the herb family, the banana plant is usually found in tropical areas having an upward cylindrical trunk. The body contains several layers which are peeled-off from the main body. The dry pulp is then gathered, lightly stripped and naturally air-dried. This is then inlayed on panels and furniture accessories.
